Ce texte cherche à analyser les capacités de la Chine à faire face aux enjeux environnementaux et climatiques domestiques, mais également internationaux, compte tenu de son poids propre. Elle est confrontée aux mêmes difficultés et contradictions que les pays capitalistes libéraux avec, probablement, une force d’entraînement plus forte du pouvoir central sur le reste de la société.

This paper seeks to analyze China’s capacity to deal with domestic and international environmental and climate issues, given its weight. It faces the same difficulties and contradictions as the liberal capitalist countries with, probably, a stronger driving force of central power over the rest of society.
