Résumé Face à un problème récurrent, l’hébergement des mères accueillies pour un accouchement à l’hôpital, les services sociaux se heurtent à une absence de place. C’est dans ce contexte que plusieurs services ont été interpellés. Nous pensons qu’il ne s’agit pas d’un simple problème de capacité d’hébergement. Cette problématique des femmes précaires qui émerge à l’hôpital, relève d’une construction inégalitaire des places socialement attribuées.

Facing a recurrent problem, the accommodation of the mothers welcomed for a childbirth at the hospital, the social services encounter a lack of place. It is in this context that several services were challenged. We think that it is not a simple problem of accommodation capacity. This problematic of the precarious women emerging at the hospital, concerns an uneven construction of the socially attributed places.
