Cet article fait l’hypothèse que le discours capitaliste, arrimant le sujet à l’objet de consommation (lathouse) est prompt à favoriser l’angoisse qui se jugule alors en une haine dont l’objet fixe est l’Autre étranger. Nous verrons que les places de domination propres au discours du maître, homo- thétique de l’inconscient, sont ainsi complétées par l’objet h aine-eux généré par le dispositif capitaliste. Le Brésil est choisi ici comme exemple transversal. D’un point de vue méthodologique, notre clinique du Brésil repose sur trois voyages familiaux réalisés de juillet 2011 à juillet 2022, d’un suivi quotidien des informations télévisuelles (Record et CNN Brasil), d’une lecture des quotidiens (Folha de Sao Paulo), d’articles de recherches universitaires locaux, et surtout d’échanges au jour le jour avec des Brésiliens non-expatriés (WhatsApp, mail, téléphone). À travers ces échanges avec la diversité du peuple brésilien, notre hypothèse liée à la haine de l’Autre favorisée par le dispositif de la lathouse, malgré les spécificités de l’histoire liées à l’esclavage et au capitalisme autoritaire outre-Atlantique, nous semble avoir une portée transfrontalière et française dans la compréhension des mécanismes inconscients en jeu. En effet, le repli identitaire constaté au Brésil en l’espace de 11 ans, avec le trauma lié l’ère Bolsonaro, éclaire le rapport à l’objet plus-de- jouir et à l’altérité en contexte capitaliste. Le spectre de l’extrême droite hante donc bien plus que l’Europe occidentale. Ainsi le surmoi post-moderne qui nous enjoint de jouir à tout prix, s’articulerait à la haine de la jouissance de l’Autre, avec laquelle le discours du maître capitaliste sait mettre au travail chacun de ses néo-sujets.

This article makes the hypothesis that the capitalist discourse, tying the subject to the object of consumption (lathouse) is quick to promote the anguish which then comes to a halt in a hatred whose fixed object is the foreign Other. We shall see that the places of domination proper to the discourse of the master, homothetic of the unconscious, are thus completed by the hate-they object generated by the capitalist apparatus. Brazil is chosen here as a transversal example. From a methodological point of view, our clinic of Brazil is based on three family trips from July 2011 to July 2022, a daily follow-up of TV news (Record and CNN Brasil), a reading of daily newspapers (Folha de Sao Paulo), articles from local academic research, and especially day-to-day exchanges with non-expatriated Brazilians (WhatsApp, mail, phone). Through these exchanges with the diversity of the Brazilian people, our hypothesis linked to the hatred of the Other favored by the mechanism of the lathouse, despite the specificities of the history related to slavery and authoritarian capitalism over there, we seem to have a cross-border and French reach in understanding the unconscious mechanisms at play. Indeed, the withdrawal of identity observed in Brazil in the space of 11 years, with the trauma linked to the Bolsonaro era, illuminates the relation to the surplus of jouissance and otherness in capitalist context. The specter of the extreme right therefore haunts much more than Western Europe. Thus, the post-modern superego that enjoins us to enjoy at all costs, would be articulated in the hatred of the Other’s enjoyment, with which the discourse of the capitalist master knows how to put to work each of his neo-subjects.
