Attending to the concept of mother and child mental health, we must influence the care to the mother and their baby. In this article we will concentrate in the moment of birth and the immediate postpartum and how the base is built between the mother and the baby after birth.If it is important to know and detect precociously the variables that can predispose to the psychopathology in the postpartum, equally important will be designing and creating structures and resources so that the prevalence of the puerperal disorders decreases.We delve in the importance of the negative experience that some women suffer with a caesarean and in how this can unchain pathology in the postpartum with the next consequent repercussions in the bond with the baby.We will see the importance of the immediate contact skin with skin immediately after the birth to favor the early commence of breastfeeding and its continuation as an element of protection of the mental health of the mother and for so of the relation with their baby

Atendiendo al concepto de Salud Mental Materno Infantil debemos incidir en el cuidado a la mujer y su bebé. En este artículo nos centraremos en el momento del parto y el postparto inmediato y en cómo se cimienta la relación entre madre y bebé tras el nacimiento.Si bien es importante conocer y detectar precozmente las variables que pueden predisponer a la psicopatología en el postparto, igualmente importante será diseñar y crear estructuras y recursos para que la prevalencia de los trastornos puerperales disminuya.Ahondaremos en la importancia de la vivencia negativa que sufren algunas mujeres con una cesárea y en cómo este hecho puede desencadenar patología en el postparto con las consiguientes repercusiones en el vínculo con el bebé.Veremos también la importancia del contacto inmediato piel con piel tras el parto para favorecer el inicio temprano de la lactancia materna y su mantenimiento como elemento protector de la Salud Mental de la madre y por ende del vínculo con su bebé.
