Regard d’un étudiant en première année sur les pratiques professionnelles du travailleur social et leur sens profond. Induit par des expériences concrètes, on observe une confrontation entre théorie et pratique à l’approche des réalités du terrain. La prise en compte d’une certaine vigilance quant à l’habitude de l’acte éducatif dans son quotidien apparaît alors, comme nécessaire. Cette remise en cause permettrait de déjouer l’inclinaison à la maltraitance institutionnelle. L’étudiant termine sur un constat de l’enclin à l’ingérence dans la vie des personnes accompagnées due à la fois à une vision holistique de leurs problématiques et de la difficulté d’éprouver avec justesse leur situation.

Viewpoint of a student in first year on the professional practices of social workers and their deep sense. Led by concrete experiments, we observe a confrontation between theory and practice as we approach the realities of the actual field. The consideration of a certain vigilance as for the habit of the educational act in everyday life appears necessary. This questioning would allow to thwart institutional ill-treatment. The student ends on a report of the inclination towards intervening in the life of the supported people owed at the same time to a holistic vision of their problems and the difficulty to aptly feel their situation.
