En d’autres termes, la trajectoire singulière de la Diva sera envisagée dans ses rapports avec le pouvoir divin, le pouvoir masculin, et le pouvoir politique.

By examining certain aspects of the career of the great Arab singer Oum Kalthoum, we will analyse how her art has raised her not only to a quasi-religious status, but also that of a free and politically committed woman. In other words, the highly individual path carved out by this diva will be examined from the vantage point of her relationship with divine power, male power and political power.
