Parmi tous les types de réseaux, il s’agit d’examiner ici l’un d’entre eux : les associations en réseau d’établissements scolaires. Elles constituent une innovation dans le système éducatif. Leurs conditions d’apparition et de diffusion sont étudiées depuis leur émergence dans les années quatre-vingt jusqu’à leur promotion par la loi du 23 avril 2005. Les différentes fonctions que ces réseaux sont susceptibles d’assumer sont analysées ainsi que les principales conditions de leur viabilité. Compte tenu de leur valorisation, des contrefaçons sont toujours possibles. Aussi un certain nombre d’entre elles sont identifiées, pour qu’une vigilance accompagne la mise en œuvre de ces réseaux.

This article examines one type of network out of the many that exist: educational institution network partnerships. These partnerships are entirely new to the educational system. The conditions for their creation and enlargement are studied from their beginning in the early 1980s up to their promotion by the Law of 23 April 2005. The various functions that these networks are likely to assume are analysed, as are the principal conditions for their continued viability. Considering what a valuable asset they are, it is always possible that they will be counterfeited. A number of these counterfeits have already been identified, which means that a certain degree of vigilance must always accompany their implementation.
