Face à la fermeture d’un centre social, des habitants se constituent en association de défense. Adossée à des valeurs citoyennes de mixité sociale et de vivre ensemble, elle va être l’interlocutrice de la caf et de la mairie pour le maintien du centre social et négocier avec l’association A&C la reprise de la gestion, sur la base de valeurs partagées. L’expérimentation d’une co-gouvernance et d’une hybridation associative est reconduite après évaluation. Au-delà de la participation, c’est le partage des processus d’élaboration, de décision et de mise en œuvre des projets conjoints et donc du pouvoir.

Faced with the closure of their social center, residents formed an association to protect it. Founded on civic values of community and social diversity, the association engaged in dialogue with the Caisse d’allocations familiales ( caf) (Family Allocations Office) and the City Council about the preservation of the social center, negotiating the resumption of the center’s management with the association A&C, on the basis of shared values. Following evaluation, this experiment in co-governance and the hybridization of associations was continued. Beyond participation, it involves the sharing of processes of development, decision-making, and implementation of joint projects and therefore of power.
