Cet article est une étude des commandes de l’échevinage d’Amiens dans les domaines de la peinture et de l’enluminure entre 1385 et 1515, réalisée à l’aide des 90 registres de comptes conservés. Ont été privilégiés l’approche quantitative, l’étude de la demande, les éléments de contexte politique, militaire, économique, financier, social, culturel, religieux qui permettent de mieux comprendre ces commandes. Trois périodes sont muses en évidence : la première allant de 1385 à 1438, la seconde de 1440 à 1475, et la troisième de 1475 à 1515 ; une étude thématique des commandes est faite pour chacune de ces trois périodes. L’étude de chaque période s’achève par un classement des peintres en fonction de leur chiffre d’affaires avec l’échevinage.

This article is a study of commissioned paintings and illuminations of the town council of Amiens between 1385 and 1515, based on 90 preserved account registers. We have singled out a quantitative approach, the study of demand, elements of political, military, economic, financial, social, cultural and religious context who make easier the understanding of these commissioned works. We have chosen to bring out three periods : the first going from 1385 to 1438, the second from 1440 to 1475, and the third from 1475 to 1515 ; a thematic study of these commissioned paintings and illuminations is made for each period. The study of each of these three periods ends on a ranking of painters according to their turnover with the town council.
