RésuméDans le cadre de la thématique «?tiers-intermédiaire?» fonctionnant dans la relation professionnelle de travail social ou la recherche participative, l’auteur s’interroge sur les origines mythiques et historiques de cette approche ternaire de l’intervention humaine sur la nature ou l’autre humain. La Bible porte une tradition particulière qui reconnaît à chacun le titre et le statut de «?roi, prêtre et prophète?». Que signifie aujourd’hui et pour le travail social cette problématique reprise périodiquement dans l’histoire du christianisme?? N’a-t-elle pas préparé et nourri la thématique moderne du chacun «?praticien, chercheur, formateur?» qui rompt avec les clivages institués et la défense des statuts figés, la division sociale du travail ontologisée. Potentiellement, toute pratique humaine peut être l’objet de recherche pour le praticien en vue de son amélioration et de sa transmission aux autres. L’analyse des pratiques, la recherche en travail social (ou toute autre profession) participent de cette démarche.

Within the framework of the “third-intermediate” theme working in the professional relation of social work or the participative research, the author questions himself on the mythical and historic origins of this ternary approach of the human intervention on the nature or the other human being. The Bible brings a particular tradition which recognizes to each one the title and the status of “practitioner, priest and prophet”. What the problematic – periodically brought again in the history of the Christianity – means nowadays for the social work? Did not it prepare and feed the modern theme of each one “practitioner, researcher, trainer” which breaks with the established splits and the defence of rigid statutes, the social division of the work ontologized. Potentially, any human practice can be the object of research for the practitioner with the aim of improving and transmitting to others. The analysis of the practices and the research in social work (or any other profession) are a part of this processus.
