Comment les études de théologie au Theologicum se poursuivent-elles dans une recherche personnelle ? Ancien étudiant du Theologicum, l’auteur retrace ses recherches en théologie depuis le retour en Corée, en dégageant une certaine évolution de sa pensée. Si, dans un premier temps, l’auteur s’inspire de la théologie fondamentale d’Henri Bouillard (1908-1981), ancien professeur de l’ICP, pour établir un lien intrinsèque entre révélation et existence par le biais de la connaissance naturelle de Dieu, il prend au sérieux, face à la sécularisation accélérée, une tension interne à l’acte de foi, un rapport dialectique entre la connaissance naturelle de Dieu et la connaissance de Dieu par la foi, qui amena les premiers chrétiens de Corée à une véritable conversion jusqu’au don de leur vie. L’auteur propose alors le projet d’une « théologie du témoignage » qui entend articuler le témoignage de la foi, d’une part, et le témoignage historique rendu par les Coréens à la vérité sous diverses formes de récits, d’autre part.

How are theological studies at the Theologicum extended in personal research ? In this article, a former student of the Theologicum retraces his research in theology since his return to Korea, and discerns a certain evolution in his thought. Inspired by the fundamental theology of Henri Bouillard (1908-1981), former professor at the ICP, the author initially explored if an intrinsic link could be established between revelation and existence through natural knowledge of God. However, in the face of accelerating secularization, he felt the need to give serious study to the internal tension within the act of faith, whereby the natural knowledge of God and the knowledge of God by faith are in a dialectical relationship. This, he believes, is what led the first Korean Christians to a veritable conversion, which meant, for some of them, the gift of their life in martyrdom. This has led the author to propose what he calls a “theology of testimony” which strives to articulate the testimony of faith, on the one hand, and the historical testimony given by the Koreans to the truth through a variety of stories, on the other hand.
