En 2013, un diagnostic archéologique mené sur la commune de Préseau a permis la découverte d’un système hydraulique gallo-romain. Cette structure est originale car, d’une part, elle est dotée d’une section composée de tuyaux de terre cuite et d’une section maçonnée ; d’autre part, sa pente devient très importante sur une partie de son tracé, ce qui laisse supposer la présence d’un système particulier de type siphon.

The Gallo-Roman Hydraulic System of PréseauIn 2013 an archaeological investigation conducted in the territory of the commune of Préseau led to the discovery of a Gallo-Roman hydraulic system. This structure is original as, on the one hand, it features a tract made of clay pipes and a masonry tract, while on the other hand, its gradient becomes very marked on part of its layout which hints at the presence of a particular type of syphon system.
