L’article propose quelques pistes de réflexion à partir d’un commentaire de l’article de J. Galinier consacré aux théories indigènes Otomi, dans une perspective psychanalytique et en s’étayant sur une démarche comparatiste avec des formations culturelles malgaches, fondée sur une ethnographie directe. Les liens entre psychique et social, le statut épistémologique du mythe dans sa relation au rite, les hypothèses concernant une métapsychologie indigène, y sontexplorés.

Myths, Rites and Indigenous Theories This article reflects on J. Galinier’s article on indigenous Otomi theories from the point of view of psychoanalysis and branching out to include a comparative study of this with Madagascan cultural formations based on direct ethnography. The bonds between what is psychic and what is social, the epistemological status of the myth in its relation to the rite and hypotheses concerning indigenous metapsychology are studied.
