Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : In the ritual and administrative texts of Ebla, a building called é dingir-dingir(-dingir) is sometimes mentioned. Important cult actions, involving the king and other members of the royal family—such as the ama-gal en and the ma-lik-tum—usually took place in it. Until now, this building was not given sufficient importance by scholars, and the relevant passages had never been brought together or studied in their entirety. A new interpretation of this sacred place is proposed here: not a temple dedicated to all the gods, but a sanctum for the ancestral divinities of the Eblaic royal lineage.
