| 520 | _aThis research studies the emergence of several forms of handi-climbing, considering as a process of social innovation the appropriation of spaces and climbing practices by people with disabilities. Using the theoretical framework of the sociology of innovation, it proposes to describe the trajectory of the three main sociotechnical networks involved in the development of handi-climbing: therapeutic climbing in socio-medical institutions, “ordinary” leisure climbing, and high-level institutionalized competition.
