Les publications récentes dans le domaine des soins culturels privilégient pourtant la différence culturelle, fondée sur le relativisme culturel délaissant le postulat de l’unité de l’humanité, comme c’est le cas pour les soins infirmiers transculturels. C’est ainsi que quelques éléments historiques relatifs aux théories fondatrices de l’anthropologie sont inclus dans ce texte, pour comprendre les implications philosophiques et éthiques de la théorie de soins infirmiers transculturels. L’objectif de cet article est d’analyser six publications récentes dans le domaine des soins et de l’anthropologie, à travers une méthode réflexive pour identifier deux traditions de soigner différentes en démontrant leur portée philosophique et éthique dans la pratique de soins infirmiers.

Cultural difference is, however, privileged by recent publications within the culture caring domain, based on cultural relativism and disregarding the unity of humanity, transcultural nursing theory is the case. For this reason, some historical elements related to the two original anthropological theories are included in this text to understand the philosophical and ethical implications of transcultural nursing theory. The objective of this article is to analyse six recent publications within the caring and anthropology field, through a reflexive method identifying two different caring traditions and demonstrating their philosophical and ethical reach for caring practice.
