520			_aLa consommation d’alcool par les femmes enceintes et les dangers y afférents préoccupent de façon notable les pouvoirs publics depuis près de vingt ans. C’est à peine moins que l’âge qu’ont les actuels étudiants en fin de cursus de soins infirmiers ou de travail social. Or, les métiers qu’ils visent : infirmier diplômé d’État, assistant de service social, conseiller en économie sociale familiale ou éducateur spécialisé, peuvent les conduire, dans un avenir proche, à être au contact avec des femmes enceintes et consommatrices d’alcool.À partir d’une enquête menée dans un pôle de formation regroupant ces deux parcours d’enseignement, l’enquête vise à appréhender les connaissances et représentations des étudiants quant à leur future pratique de terrain relative à la question « alcool et grossesse ».Peu, voire pas formés sur cette thématique, les étudiants observés connaissent les dangers de la consommation d’alcool pendant la grossesse. Peu outillés en tant que futurs professionnels, ils se sentent cependant en relative capacité pour aborder cette question. Par ailleurs, une partie d’entre eux projette des représentations sociales erronées des publics qui seraient affectés par la consommation d’alcool au cours de la grossesse. Autant d’éléments qui interrogent les modalités des formations susceptibles de leur être dispensées.
520			_aAlcohol consumption by pregnant women and its related dangers have been a major concern for public authorities for almost twenty years. Students finishing their training in nursing or social work are only slightly over twenty themselves. The job they are soon going to practice, as a graduate nurse, social worker, financial and family counsellor, or a specialized teacher, can lead them to come into contact with pregnant alcohol-drinking women.Based on a survey conducted in a training center for these two types of students, this study aims to understand the knowledge and representations these students have on the issue of “alcohol and pregnancy” within their future field of work.Despite having received little or no training on this topic, these students are aware of the dangers of alcohol consumption during pregnancy. As future professionals, they are poorly equipped, but they do feel able to deal with this issue. Some of them also demonstrated social misrepresentations about the people who would be affected by alcohol consumption during pregnancy. All these elements call for a rethink about the training methods that should be provided to them.
