L’hypothèse concernant l’absence d’évolution de l’identité tient à deux caractéristiques du fonctionnement mental, les processus identificatoires défaillants et la non-existence de tiers dans la linéarité du chemin identitaire. Rien ne semble pouvoir dévier de sa route l’identité qui s’est construite sur la base d’une mission dictée par les origines de l’individu, l’absence de l’un des parents ou des deux, un traumatisme précoce, un deuil impossible d’un enfant aîné… Ces problématiques identitaires peuvent être approchées dans le cadre d’un groupe analytique et donner lieu pour l’individu à une subjectivation de son histoire et à l’intégration des insights propres à l’amener à une liberté de choix.

The hypothesis concerning the absence of evolution of identity resides in two characteristics of mental functioning : the defective identificatory processes and the non-existence of a third party in the linearity of the path of identity. It seems as if an identity that has been constructed on the basis of a mission dictated by the origins of the individual, the absence of one or both of the parents, an early traumatic experience, an impossible mourning of an older child, etc, cannot be deflected from its course by anything. These issues of identity can be approached in the context of an analytic group and can help the subject both to subjectivize his history and to integrate insights that can lead him towards a freedom of choice.

La metáfora de la figura del destino está utilizada para acercar la imposibilidad de subjetivar los orígenes de esta construcción identitaria. La hipótesis concerniente la ausencia de evolución de la identidad tiene a dos características del funcionamiento mental, el fallo de los procesos identificatorios y la no-existencia del terso en la linearidad del camino identitario. Nada parece poder desviar de su ruta la identidad que se ha construido en la base de una misión dictada por los orígenes del individuo, la ausencia de uno de su padres o de los dos, un trauma precoz, un duelo imposible de un niño mayor… Estas problemáticas identitarias pueden ser acercadas dentro del marco de un grupo analítico y dar lugar para el individuo a una sujetivación de su historia y a la integración de los insights propios para llevarle a una libertad de elección
