Phenomena are threatened both by the principles and norms that determine them, and by their own ontological precariousness. But doesn’t the principle itself have a phenomenalizing power? Is not the phenomenon itself, in its singularity, so intimately marked by the negativity that it struggles to appear? This article sets out to interrogate Schürmann’s diasozein ta phainomena, saving salvation itself from the risk of phenomena dissolving into themselves and under principles.
