520			_aRésuméAlceste est un logiciel d’analyse statistique textuelle qui présente l’avantage d’apporter des résultats quantitatifs pour des études qualitatives. Il permet de découvrir les structures significatives d’un document (appelé corpus) de manière objective. La GRH couvre des domaines d’expertise large, traitant des compétences, du management de la performance ou encore de l’implication et encore peu d’auteurs ont choisi de mobiliser cet outil dans la conduite de leurs travaux. Ce travail s’intéresse à la problématique suivante: quels sont les apports des logiciels Alceste dans la recherche en GRH notamment à travers l’analyse de la gestion des carrières dans les organisations publiques? Certains chercheurs en GRH utilisent le logiciel pour analyser divers supports dans des contextes d’étude différents. Bien souvent, ils couplent leurs résultats avec d’autres outils d’analyse. Dans le cadre de la gestion des carrières dans les organisations publiques, Alceste a permis de mettre en évidence les structures significatives des discours concernant la perception des carrières et le clivage existant à la SNCB entre les non cadres et les cadres.

The case of career management in the context of the restructuring of state-owned companiesAlceste is a statistical textual analysis software, extracting quantitative results from qualitative studies. It allows the extraction of fundamental, structuring data of a document (called corpus) in an objective way. The human resource management covers various expertise areas dealing with competencies, efficiency management or organisational commitment. Few authors have been mobilizing this tool to carry out their study. This article deals with the following research question : how this software contributes in human resource management focusing on the analysis of career management in the context of state-owned companies? Some researchers specialised in human resource management use Alceste software in order to analyse various kind of supports in different context. They often mix their results with other tools of analysis. In the context of career management in state-owned companies, Alceste shows the structuring elements in the respondent’s concerns regarding their career perception. It highlights a clash between the lower management population and the cadres at the SNCB.
