520 _aThe early writings of Fernand Oury, the co-founder of psychoanalytically oriented institutional pedagogy, are studied here from the perspective of the concept of the group that seems to have prevailed for this author when he laid the groundwork for the pedagogical approach that he helped to initiate. Published between 1955 and 1958, the selected texts precede the works that laid the foundation of this educational movement. They are studied by examining the possible influences on Oury in the early period of empowerment towards the Freinet movement from which it is derived. This research emphasizes the relative distance from the psychoanalytic approach to groups, which was nevertheless developed at the same time as the selected papers.
