520			_aLe temps de la grossesse et du devenir parent constitue une période de transition dans toute vie psychique individuelle et groupale. La parentalité est une des composantes de l’identité du sujet, en ce qu’elle le transforme et s’ajoute à la dynamique intersubjective de l’individu. Mais avant d’être parental, le couple est d’abord conjugal et c’est l’attente et l’arrivée de l’enfant qui fondent l’entité « famille ». Le temps de la grossesse et de la naissance condense pour les hommes et femmes devenant parents, projet et désir d’enfant, attente de cet enfant, rêveries conscientes et inconscientes à propos de l’enfant à naître et des rôles parentaux. Les remaniements psychiques et identitaires ont abondamment été étudiés sous l’angle de la maternalité, qu’en est-il alors du côté de l’homme qui devient père ? Comment s’articulent et se réaménagent identité conjugale et identité paternelle lors de cette période ? La psychopathologie de la parentalité nous éclaire sur les aléas pouvant parcourir le chemin du devenant parent, et nous montre combien cette élaboration nécessite une conjonction étroite entre conjugal et parental. Nous répondrons à cette problématique par l’illustration d’un cas clinique, en soulignant la dialectique des dynamiques conjugale et parentale lors du devenir père.
520			_aPregnancy and becoming a parent represent a period of transition in any psychic life be it an individual or a groupe one. Parenthood is one of the components of the identity of the subject, in that it transforms it and adds to the intersubjective dynamic. But, before being parental, the couple is first conjugal and it is the expectation and the arrival of the child that forms the basis of the “family” entity. For both men and women who are about to become parents, pregnancy and birth condense the project and desire for a child, the wait for this child, and conscious and unconscious fantasies about the unborn child and parental roles. Psychological and identity changes are studied in depth from the perspective of the mother but what happens within the man who becomes a father? How are conjugal identity and paternal identity linked during this period, and how do they readjust ? Investigating the psychopathology of parenthood enable us to identify the stumbling blocks on the way to becoming a perent, and shows us how this development requires a close conjunction between conjugal and parental dimensions. We will examine this issue using a clinical case, highlighting the dialectics of conjugal and parental dynamics at the time of becoming a father.
