L’analyse de sa réception en France, à travers diverses sources (journaux, revues de cinéma, documents diplomatiques…), permet de comprendre les tensions nationalistes qui perdurent malgré le projet politique de la nouvelle intégration de l’Allemagne dans le concert des nations européennes. Cette analyse montre aussi à quel point cette forme d’expression qu’est le film constitue un enjeu culturel et politique important durant l’entre-deux-guerres. | ||
