520			_aThis article is essentially descriptive and exploratory. It aims to understand the emergence of a complex and multidimensional phenomenon. It takes stock of the phenomenon of fintechs, emphasizing its topicality and its scalability and taking stock of the vocabulary—sometimes esoteric—which more or less serves to describe and characterize it. The article also stresses the two key dimensions of fintechs, which remain fundamentally linked to the technological dimension and the financial dimension, and it underlines their intertwining. Finally, this work concludes with the challenges and issues that fintechs are—and will be—facing in the short term.
