520			_aWhile French officer training did not traditionally prepare soldiers for clandestine and underground combat, their knowledge of warfare and their capacity for providing basic military training were nonetheless precious assets for resistance movements starting in 1942. Once mobilized, the contribution of these officers came under scrutiny, as did the process of acculturation between regular and irregular warfare methods. Did adaptation occur, or did one training model come to dominate the other? According to which criteria? Ultimately, we must also examine the afterlife of the methods implemented by the Resistance on the eve of Liberation.
