520			_aL’art s’apprend-il ? Apprend-on à devenir artiste ? Peut-on parler de professionnalisation dans le domaine des arts ? Après avoir rappelé comment les formations proposées par les écoles d’art répondent à ces questions, on tentera de saisir ce qui constitue la spécificité du geste artistique en faisant l’hypothèse que cette spécificité tient dans le rapport particulier qui s’y instaure entre l’œuvre à faire et l’œuvre faite. Empruntant une perspective historique étayée par des travaux en histoire et sociologie de l’art, on envisagera ensuite le geste artistique dans « le paradigme de l’art contemporain » (Heinich), en montrant comment celui-ci contribue à renouveler le rapport à l’œuvre et aux modalités de son existence dans l’espace public. On soulignera ainsi les entrecroisements qui surviennent aujourd’hui entre le « créateur » et le « travailleur », entre le geste artistique et le geste professionnel.

After recalling how the training courses offered by art schools answer these questions, we will try to grasp what constitutes the specificity of the artistic gesture by making the hypothesis that this specificity lies in the particular relationship that is established between the work to be made and the work made. Borrowing a historical perspective supported by works in art history and sociology, we will then consider the artistic gesture in "the paradigm of contemporary art" (Heinich), showing how it contributes to renewing the relationship to the work and the modalities of its existence in the public space. We will thus highlight the intertwining that occurs today between the "creator" and the "worker", between the artistic gesture and the professional gesture.
