520			_aRésumé Être confronté à un événement traumatique peut entraîner un bouleversement considérable dans la vie d’un sujet. Si depuis toujours, la psychanalyse s’est intéressée au traumatisme, l’étude de la névrose a montré que l’origine des symptômes se trouvait dans un conflit psychique de nature inconsciente. Dans la névrose traumatique, les symptômes ne sont pas liés à un conflit inconscient. L’introduction de la notion de réel permet d’aborder l’expérience traumatique comme celui d’une rencontre, d’une « mauvaise rencontre ». L’effraction traumatique ne fait que réactualiser le trauma initial, lié à la première menace, celle de la détresse consécutive à la séparation de l’objet primordial. Tout trauma est donc structuré sur le mode de l’après-coup. Une rencontre de hasard, une mauvaise rencontre, n’est rien d’autre qu’une rencontre du réel. Ce réel qui est la cause même du sujet.
