520			_aRésumé La « toxicomanie » est un concept qui doit être critiqué. Pour penser les usages abusifs de drogues, il est plus juste de se référer à la notion de « pharmakos » (du grec ancien) qu’à celle de « toxique » puisque les drogues ont toujours aussi des effets thérapeutiques. Ensuite, au travers du lien entre drogue et objet transitionnel, nous essayons d’éclairer ce qui reste d’un rapport archaïque à l’objet maternel et qui nous paraît central dans la plupart des « pharmakomanies ». Nous pensons que ce que l’on pourrait appeler une « difficulté de la séparation » est, par ailleurs, une caractéristique de la société actuelle.
520			_aThe French term « toxicomanie » (substance abuse) is a concept which must be challenged. When considering drug abuse, it is more accurate to refer to the notion of « pharmakos » (from the ancient Greek) rather than « toxique », as drugs have also always had therapeutic effects. However, moving beyond the connection between drugs and the transitional object, we attempt to shed light on the remains of an archaic contact with the maternal object, which we consider central to most « pharmakomanies » or pharmakos addicts. We believe that what one could call a « separation difficulty » is, in fact, a characteristic of contemporary society.
