520			_a« L’empathie, l’intersubjectivité et le couple. » L’empathie est définie comme le retentissement émotionnel chez un sujet de l’état émotionnel d’un autre. Elle évolue en identification et favorise l’intersubjectivité entre les sujets du lien. L’auteur étudie la diversité des formations de l’inconscient à laquelle l’empathie fait appel, d’abord ses propres déclinaisons : auto-empathie, empathie réciproque, etc., ensuite intersubjectivité, reconnaissance mutuelle, responsabilité pour autrui. L’auteur examine à la suite ce qui entrave son expression, la méfiance ou l’emprise par exemple. Le champ de l’empathie inclut le lien analyste-patient mais elle est active dans tout autre lien, en famille et dans d’autres groupes. Dans le couple, elle apparaît dès l’engagement amoureux bonifiant le partenaire et la rencontre ; elle est à l’origine de l’attachement, facteur majeur de consolidation du lien. Une vignette de thérapie psychanalytique de couple illustre ces idées.

It evolves into identification and promotes intersubjectivity between the subjects involved in this bond. The author of this paper studies the diversity of the formations of the unconscious which underpin empathy, in its initial gamut of expressions – self-empathy, reciprocal empathy, and then in terms of intersubjectivity, mutual recognition and responsibility for others. The author then explores stumbling blocks to empathy, including distrust or domination. The field of empathy encompasses the analyst-patient bond, but is active within all bonds, be it in the family or other groups. In couples, empathy is expressed through a committed loving relationship, enhancing the partner and the fact of meeting that partner; it lies at the origin of attachment and plays a key role in consolidating relational bonds. A vignette from psychoanalytical therapy with a couple illustrates these ideas.
