520			_aCet article se propose d’évaluer les incidences des mutations juridiques sur la composition et le fonctionnement des ensembles monumentaux dans une ville moyenne de l’Afrique Proconsulaire, Thuburbo Maius, et notamment de montrer la frénésie constructrice provoquée par la promotion coloniale. C’est dans le contexte de cette promotion où le schéma municipal éclate que l’on assiste à la migration de la convergence vers le secteur occidental.
520			_aColonial promotion, evergetic frenzy and urban planning in Thuburbo Maius This article intends to assess the impacts of juridical changes on the composition and the functioning of monumental units in a medium-sized city in Africa Proconsularis, Thuburbo Maius, and particularly to show the building spree triggered by the colonial promotion. It is in the context of this promotion, within which the municipal plan bursts, that we witness the migration of the urban convergence towards the western sector of the city.
