520 _aThis article aims at analyzing the judicial treatment of domestic violence through a new protection measure in France: the GPS electronic tag for domestic abuse. Our research analyzes the role of victim support groups in implementing this measure. Described as “justice intermediaries”, these organizations facilitate the link between victims and legal professionals. The article shows that the launching of this specific GPS electronic tag in 2021, widely approved by victim support organizations, has considerably strengthened their role. The new tag involves victim support professionals in closer monitoring of victims and increases interactions with the rest of the legal system. As a result, it places them in a position halfway between partnership and subordination to judicial authorities. It simultaneously transforms the relationship they have with victims, which increasingly involve both support and control.
