However, its form is not very similar to that of authentically popular legends, which are much shorter and not as loaded with historical elements, and above all, there are several eighteenth-century manuscripts that show that it is a literary creation from Bayeux. The aim of this article is to try to understand the reasons for the creation of such a text, and to produce a critical edition. | ||
