In this year 2025, Pope Francis has erected Hope as the central virtue of the Jubilee. These three thinkers (Gustave Thibon, Josef Pieper and Gabriel Marcel) underlined the fundamental elements of this virtue of Hope necessary to the earthly pilgrim, the homo viator, that is the Christian in his worldly tribulations in view of the hoped-for end: Beatitude.
