520 _aThe chapbook entitled L’Imperfection de femmes holds a particular place in the Bibliothèque bleue. Like its counterpart, La Malice de femmes, it is derived from Jacques Olivier’s book, Alphabet de l’imperfection et malice des femmes. It was almost exclusively published under a “fanciful” address for almost two centuries. Cross-checking shows that the Rouen printers undoubtedly played an essential role in its conception and distribution, unlike their counterparts in Troyes who seemed to have shown little interest in it.
