520 _aIn this text, the author recalls what led him to adopt an integrative approach in the field of ASD based on his experience of the psychoanalysis of infants at risk of autism. He demonstrates how we can recognize the signs of an inability to lay down a memory trace of an already-experienced satisfaction, arguing that this is a question of the baby’s neurodevelopmental constitution, rather than of a deficient relation to the Other. If we take into account the predominance of these endogenic neuro-developmental factors, as the scientific scholarship of the last fifteen years invites us to, this perspective suggests new directions in the approach to the organization of psychoanalytic sessions in the field of ASD, providing that we understand the implementation of TEACCH-type structures as a substitute. For the psychoanalyst, this does not mean giving up on the goal of subjectivation; on the contrary, reassured by the structuring of time and space and the provision of invariants, the subject will be able to modulate his autistic defenses and allow the beginnings of an initial work of contact involving the encounter with Speech, and consequently the possibility of subjectivation.
