520 _aThis article presents an experience of intervention with a group of adolescents in the school context in a suburb of Brasilia (Brazil’s capital). The aim of this experiment was to demonstrate the effect of cultural mediation for these adolescents. This mediation involved using audiovisual content and images that allowed them to establish a narcissistic support system, and offered them the possibility of expressing their malaise in a situation of vulnerability. The intervention took place in a public high school located in a sensitive neighborhood ravaged by violence. The workshops were co-facilitated by a psychologist, a teacher, and an audiovisual professional. The aim of these workshops was to write, prepare, and produce a short film on the theme of violence. The workshops led to a co-creation in a common space by means of a cultural object, the audiovisual.
