520 _aThe text presents the main developmental lines of the field of psychoanalytic studies in education and training in Brazil from the arrival of Freudian theory in the 1930s until today. It aims to show how the singularity of this theoretical-practical field and its differences from the French current known as the “psychoanalytically oriented clinical approach to education science” results both from debates internal to the development of psychoanalysis in Brazil, the particularities of the education and training system of this country, and the idiosyncrasies specific to the Brazilian language.
