It reviews key concepts such as complex trauma, Type I and Type II trauma in children, developmental trauma disorder, and complex post-traumatic stress disorder, highlighting their implications for child and adolescent psychiatry. Ultimately, the notion of complex trauma in children appears more as an oversimplification than as an application of genuine “complex thinking”. | ||
