520			_aPutting aside any universal definition of self-harm, we propose to reflect on the clinical context of its appearance based on the words of an adolescent, Julia. Far from limiting itself to gathering a set of observations, it is a question here of focusing on the meetings with this adolescent, on the importance of what can be addressed to another on the register of the individual and on the place of the body in self-harm. The notions of hatred and aggressiveness that our contemporary tends to suppress, will allow us to recall the importance of the clinical bet concerning a possible act of enunciation around and from self-mutilation.
