245 0 0 _aPathway to healthy aging (VIeSA): Results of a feasibility study in Geneva
260 _c2025.

520 _aIntroduction: One of the challenges of healthy aging is the implementation of local projects that meet the diverse needs of older adults and local resources. The Healthy Aging (Vieillissement en santé; VIeSA) project, carried out in Geneva, has created an intervention framework documented in a guide. This guide brings together effective interventions, recommendations from the literature, health and social services organized by functional capacity, a local resource map, and step-by-step guidance to support older adults in defining health objectives and actions. Objective: The aim of the study is to assess the feasibility of implementing a healthy aging pathway based on the VIeSA guide. Twenty-nine older adults and twelve health or social care professionals tested the framework over a four-month period. They evaluated the feasibility, acceptability, usefulness, and relevance of the materials, methods, personalized objectives, and actions implemented. Results: The framework was judged to be feasible, acceptable, and relevant for setting up individualized objectives and interventions. Overall, the results were deemed satisfactory. Critical feedback regarding the heaviness and overly specific nature of some materials provided valuable input for future adjustments. Conclusion: These results support the use of the proposed tools and methods, representing a promising first step in implementing a framework to support healthy aging. A larger-scale application and an evaluation of the health benefits for older adults will need to be carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of the framework.
