520 _aWe propose to explore the hysterical staging process as a potential opening to the individuation-separation process of a 16-year-old whom we will call Ali, placed in a closed educational center for committing racketeering as part of an organized gang, which Ali speaks about often. Therapeutic support in a face-to-face arrangement with the clinician opens up a completely different staging space: that of affective co-sharing and potential psychic metamorphosis during his stay. This space of seeing/being seen, which at times includes the therapist unwittingly in these criminal scenic narratives, would make it possible to support Ali, who is plagued by fear of abandonment by the paternal figure during his stay. This investigation of the hysterical process could open up a new way of approaching the Oedipus complex in subjects prone to transgression as a mechanism for counter-investing abandonment anxieties.
