| 520 | _aWhile the geopolitics of the ports of the Horn of Africa and the development of corridors to unlock Ethiopia are being reorganized, the most recent developments of which have been brought to the forefront of the world media scene, it struggles looking beyond major international issues such as the recognition of Somaliland, the role of Djibouti or Ethio-Eritrean reconciliation. These corridors, however, connecting a regional capital to the world, cross inhabited territories and carry hopes of development as much as rivalries reorganized by the radical transformation of the transit economy they induce. This article seeks to give a new reading of some of the region’s conflicts through the prism of its corridors for two decades, in Ethiopia, Somaliland and Somalia. This polarization by ports shapes the maritimization of Somali territories. | ||
