One or more layers can then be added at a later stage, describing and developing, if the current research so requires, each of those actions into more complex ontologies. This progressive approach resolves a problem encountered with most databases, stemming from the need to define and manage huge ontologies whose volume and complexity extend far beyond the cognitive capacity of the operators in charge.‪
