520 _aCould creative criticism (also) be characterized by a certain inner disposition, an openness to indeterminacy, a pleasure in escaping authority positions and established paradigms? Since I have no answer to this question, I shall instead invite you to join me in a “yoga warm-up” of sorts, hoping (with no guarantee of success) to foster what I propose to call « the search ». If art is what makes life more interesting than art (as Robert Filliou said), then “the search” reminds research that it too can be a living art. To “search” is to research what performance is to representation: something more-than-present that only happens once. And to whom? While a researcher is a person who conducts research, the search undoes the person. You have probably already experienced this. Often, it is like a moment of exhilaration accompanied by an “Oh! Right! That’s it!” Shall we give it a try?
