520 _aThis article intends to assess the impacts of juridical changes on the composition and the functioning of monumental units in a medium-sized city in Africa Proconsularis, Thuburbo Maius, and particularly to show the building spree triggered by the colonial promotion. It is in the context of this promotion, within which the municipal plan bursts, that we witness the migration of the urban convergence towards the western sector of the city.
