520 _aThe violent acting out of teenagers represents an attempt to sustain a process of subjectivation and break free from the dilemma of filiation and intergenerational relations. These episodes of acting out provide a sound box for what has become an institutional crisis. The present article considers the impact of the obstacles to the work of institutional historialisation as to the reactivation of instances of acting out by teenagers placed in care. Professional phantasmatisation, the process of subjectivation and its corollary, the relationship between adolescence and obsolescence are traversed by a dual ordeal of physical disaffectation and psychic disaffection. The way the adult, and more particularly the institution, reacts out is also considered as symptomatic of a mutative crisis of educational structures when confronted by new forms of organization and evaluation of their work that are not always amenable to taking the subjective aspect into account.
