520 _aDuring the 2022 French presidential election, France Télévisions broadcast for the first time on the streaming platform Twitch. In the program, the journalists Samuel Etienne and Alix Bouilhaguet interviewed candidates based on questions posted by internet users in a chat room. Presented as an innovation that makes candidates directly accessible to the public, this experiment exports a classic television genre to a platform where content is commented on live. It raises questions about the role and position of journalists in relation to audiences and political guests. The analysis focuses on the set-up, the accompanying discourse, and the practices of the various protagonists, with a particular emphasis on the selection of questions, the central element of this participatory interview.
