520 _aThe aim of our communication is to contribute to the analyses of the diversity of forms of coordination in local beef supply chain, by analysing the case of Herriko Haragia located the Basque Country in France. Our study is based on qualitative data from a field survey, which includes semi-structured interviews with public and private players involved in the local sector, and documentary analysis. The analytical framework aims to reconstruct the historical and socio-economic trajectory of this local supply chain. We took into account the diversity of players and coordination methods, as well as their forms of materiality (quality signs, contracts, rules, investments, etc.). This raises questions about the capacity for innovation of local supply chains, as well as their independence from more traditional long supply chains.
