| 520 | _aChild sexual abuse takes many forms and can occur in environments that some thought were relatively unaffected. In a first report [1], we attempted to understand the extent of the phenomenon and its repercussions on the well-being and development of the child who experiences it, which can last for many years into adulthood. Providing care as early as possible is complex and relies on coordination between all the stakeholders involved: doctors, psychologists, social services, educators, teachers, police, and the justice system. But more generally, how can we protect children, and what preventive measures could be considered? Government measures and plans have been put in place and must be widely disseminated in all settings to ensure their effective implementation. | ||
