520 _aThis article attempts to show that green and inclusive growth does not challenge the continuous and indefinite accumulation of capital. As a result, it struggles to respond effectively to the environmental crisis that threatens the conditions of human habitability of the Earth. The regulatory, moral and normative injunctions associated with green and inclusive growth are therefore paradoxical. They lead to the emergence of cumbersome objects at the crossroads of contradictory interests and whose temporary or definitive resolution calls for four possible strategies: postponement, false compromise, compromise, and rejection.
